The Pale Mountains
The Dolomite Mountains comprise a unique and unspoiled natural paradise that offers breathtaking landscapes, dramatic vistas, and nature as lush as it is enchanting. It is for this reason—as well as for the sake of preservation—that UNESCO placed our mountains on its list of World Heritage Sites on June 26th, 2009. A theatre of myth and legend that bears solitary witness to the passage of time, the Pale Mountains have fascinated all those who visit our land for centuries. They convey feelings and emotions that are both unique and intense—and that must be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
