Guided tours

Competence

Only properly qualified professional guides accompany Roadbike Holidays guided tours. Guided tours are accompanied by the Hotel Gran Paradiso owner Roland Ploner or by one of the other professional guides of the Dolomite Biking Guide Team.

The priority for the Dolomite Biking Guide Team is to guarantee cyclists maximum safety as they enjoy a highly entertaining outing..

Roadbike services

• Our hotel offers two road-bike outings a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. On request this can also be on your departure day
• Each tour always has two levels of difficulty with two different guides taking care of each type of cyclist
• Every day, between 18:30 and 19:00 there is a meeting with the guides with information about the tours followed by a personal consultation
• Qualified guides approved by C.O.N.I for road and mountain-bike tours.
• Maintenance and basic mechanical assistance for guests’ bikes
• On request the hotel organises road bike hire. Our partner store will take care of all your needs
• Free hire of our MTBs for adults and children; on request also hire of helmets and baby seats
• Self-service bike-cleaning: washing, drying, protective treatment with silicone or wax spray
• Sale of food supplements Xenofit drinks + bars. They will be offered by guides on guided tours
• Laundry service for cycling gear: included in the bike package; without the package at a cost of €8 a bag.
• Dryers for bike clothes and footwear
• Special maps for bike tours
• At least 10 tours with downloadable GPS coordinates
• GPS coordinates can be uploaded from the hotel website or from a computer for your use
• Bike racks (unsupervised) in front of the hotel for daytime parking + parking area CCTV for overnight storage
• Après-bike with afternoon snack
• Table reserved for cyclists in the garden or on the terrace before the tour

Club & groups. Our hotel provides special services for cycling clubs and groups, including:

• Bike store with CCTV for at least 20 bikes
• Bookable shuttle service
• Service area with all the equipment needed for the care and maintenance of your bike
• Seminar room with use of a projector and other equipment for presentations and discussions

Services for cyclists’ friends and family

While we offer a whole host of services to bikers, we never forget that they are often accompanied by family members or friends not interesting in cycling. This is a list of services specially for them:

• Health & Beauty farm where you can enjoy the swimming pool, take a sauna, a Turkish bath, use the aromarium, Jacuzzi and Kneipp pool and have beauty treatments and massage
• On 5 mornings a week there are exercise classes offering stretching, level 1 yoga and muscle awakening
• Special maps with hiking routes of different levels of difficulty. You can trust our expert staff to help you plan your walk.
• Huge garden in which to relax and catch the rays
• Clay tennis court, equipment hire at reception.

Bike garage and outdoor bike-park

For the entire summer season cyclists can use our handy bike-park outside the hotel.
Before or after your outing, you can park your bike in the shade of the well-equipped gazebo enabling you to perform quick simple maintenance jobs, clean your bike or simply enjoy a beer with friends on our outdoor terrace, without ever losing sight of your bike. You will be able to sleep soundly at night because your bike will be locked in the hotel garage equipped with CCTV.

Bike wash

Both inside and outside the bike garage you will find everything necessary for cleaning your bike to perfection:

• Water pump with variable pressure
• Large-sized wash basin
• Sponges, paper and cloths for drying
